A [Learning Path](/learning-paths) is a curated sequence of lessons built around either a **skill** (say, typography fundamentals) or a **career** goal (say, becoming a product designer) — the difference being how narrow or broad the path is, not how it's delivered.

Each path is broken into modules, and each module into individual lessons. Paths are also leveled — **beginner**, **intermediate**, or **advanced** — so you can find something that matches where you're actually starting from rather than working through material you've already outgrown, or that's over your head.

What are Learning Paths?

On the [Learning Paths](/learning-paths) page, use the filters to narrow things down by **level** (beginner/intermediate/advanced), **topic**, and roughly how much time a path takes (short/medium/long).

If you're signed in and already partway through something, you'll see a **Continue** card at the top pointing you back to whichever in-progress path you've made the most recent headway on — no need to hunt for it in the full list.

Choosing a path

Once you're signed in, Designed tracks your progress through each path automatically as you complete lessons — you'll see a progress bar on the path itself and on its card in the path list.

Progress is saved to your account, not your browser, so it follows you across devices. There's nothing to manually save or sync.

Lessons inside a path aren't all the same shape. Depending on the path, you'll run into:
