About Me

I am a product design director with 14 years who's a part of the core founding team at Freecharge, an online payments company that enables money movement for businesses in India, backed by Axis Bank Acquisitions. I am currently heading the design efforts for Freecharge Consumer & Merchant Capital. Along with these two design verticals, I also lead a small team called the culture committee which focuses on awareness, onboarding, and tracking of cultural values within the organization. Keeping my professional life aside, I mentor a few designers and product managers on the side and I actively take mock interviews to help budding designers in their journey. Specialization: • Build a world-class product team of product designers, digital strategists, researchers, UX, content, creative directors, and front-end engineers. • Hired and mentored top design talent across India. • Leadership experience across the full life cycle of building the startup. • Established frameworks for multi-channel UX/CX assessment, task analysis, information architecture, rapid prototyping, and observational studies.
• Partnering with business and engineering leaders on Agile/Lean development • Experience in user research, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis (direct & in-direct), personas and journey maps, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, usability & A/B testing, visual direction, and setting up world-class design systems.
