About Me

I'm a systems-level design leader with 20+ years building AI-integrated products and high-performing design orgs at Meta, Walmart, Capital One, and SOCi. I think in systems — products, organizations, markets. I find the leverage point and build the intervention that fixes it at scale. That's what drove $110M in savings at Meta, $86M at Walmart, and a new AI product category at SOCi. My current focus is at the intersection of AI and product design. At SOCi I've been solving two of the hardest problems in AI product design simultaneously. The first is trust. AI agents only work at scale when users trust them enough to step back — and that trust has to be designed, not assumed. I built SOCi's AI agent suite around a trust escalation model: earning confidence through small, visible wins that compound into genuine autonomy. From a one-tap native notification approval to a user who hands the keys to an agent and walks away. The second is quality. I built Forge — SOCi's Design Operating System — to solve what Stephen Gates calls plausible noise: AI output that looks right, ships, and erodes user trust over time. Forge wraps Claude Code with a harness of feedforward guides and feedback sensors so AI-generated UI stays on-system by default. I'm also the author of Prompt to Pixel — a newsletter for design leaders navigating the AI-native product era.
