About Me
My name is Julie Tait and I'm the Sr. Director, Product Owner for the Global Design System at Manulife. My first priority is ensuring all digital public and secure web and mobile products adhere to an elevated quality of design outlined in the Global Design System and ensure a coherent experience for our customers. My work on user experience helps organizations translate their aspirations and the needs of their customers, and consumers into highly usable, compelling digital products – from websites to mobile apps. I have an eye for creativity and pixel perfection; with diverse knowledge in investigating user goals and workflows through usability testing and user research processes. I employ different use cases, surveys, heuristic evaluations, workshops, and contextual inquiry. My past experiences as Design System Lead at Scotiabank, and as a lead designer at a Toronto Digital Marketing agency gave me a strong foundation to set myself apart from others. I created strategic & operational plans; set key performance indicators (KPIs); evaluated competitors/risk, and conducted user research to formulate UX plans. Previously, in 2009, I obtained a Honors in Design Degree from York University and Sheridan College program for Design, graduating on the Dean's Honor roll.
