About Me
Thanks for dropping by. My names Matt and I'm a Lead Product Designer based in Vancouver with over 13 years of experience. My first career in technology and app development sparked my interest in the creative arts, leading me to pivot toward product and UX. But this choice was anything but clear sailing. I struggled, hustled and worked my socks off to get a foot hold and find my path. A journey that has moulded my skills, empathy, understanding and resilience; traits and experience I want to share with others to hopefully help and build. I have a strong understanding of agile design processes, in-depth and innovative research methods, prototyping and building design systems. My years in visual brand design are supported by my animation proficiency and storytelling, making me a well-rounded, versatile Product Designer. I code. I film. I manage. I adapt. I try to be the best version of myself, always expanding my knowledge and skill set. In my downtime, you can find me capturing the great pnw, work with some great clients on feature films, Rogers TV, TIFF, or VIFF.
