About Me
If you're building a tech company in Egypt, you know the feeling: you read the playbook, you do what the SaaS blogs and the YC talks say to do - and it breaks the moment it hits the local market. Payments don't behave the way the tutorials assume. Buyers don't sign because your deck is good; they sign because they trust you. The talent market, the pricing psychology, the sales cycles - none of it matches the imported advice. For the last few years I've been building, selling, and shipping software out of Egypt - through Shopless, my strategy-and-software agency, and a portfolio of products like Tawrida (Trade Operations Platform) and BITHUB. I've also built brands from scratch, including a Gen Z consumer label, and produced the cinematic content behind them. I post about what works here - the operational reality of building product, brand, and go-to-market in Egypt and the wider MENA region. No recycled San Francisco advice. Just the things I wish someone had told me earlier. If you're building in this region, follow along. Four things you'll get from me: → the operational reality of building in Egypt → go-to-market truth for MENA → brand & taste as a competitive edge → honest takes on the ecosystem
