About Me

Hi 👋🏽 Creating delightful digital experiences is my passion, and I believe that thoughtful design can uplift and improve our world :) I research how people living with chronic conditions interact with AI-driven digital health tools, with a particular focus on communities whose languages and lived experiences are underrepresented in the design and evaluation of health technology. My PhD at UCL UCLIC investigates co-design methods for AI in chronic condition management, with a focus on meaningful inclusion of linguistically and culturally diverse populations. My published research at ACM CUI 2025 provides empirical grounding for this work, exploring how language and cultural context shape people's experiences with AI-powered tools. Alongside my doctorate, I work as a Research Assistant on an Arabic RTL data visualisation project, extending my focus on representation and equity into how data itself is communicated across scripts and languages. Before transitioning into academic research, I worked as a UX Researcher & Designer, where I led research synthesis, developed personas for a customer service chatbot, and improved internal tooling, grounding my academic work in how design decisions play out in production environments. I care about research that challenges single narratives and centres Global South perspectives, not as add-ons, but as the starting point.
