Designed is for adults, and the legal pages read like documents
The minimum age is now 18, stated in the Terms, Privacy Policy and Help Center and confirmed when you join. The legal pages were also redesigned to be easier to read, with a contents list that follows you down the page.
Designed is a platform for adults. The minimum age has gone from 13 to 18, and the Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Age Suitability page and the Help Center all say so. For the first time it is also part of joining: getting started asks you to confirm you are 18 or over before your profile is created. It is a declaration, not an ID check, and every page says so in those words. Anything for younger designers would be a separate offering in the future, with safeguards of its own.
The legal pages themselves were hard to read: titles pressed against the top of the window and dense text squeezed against the left edge of a wide screen. They are laid out as documents now, with room above the title, a comfortable line length and a contents list down the side. The list marks the section you are reading as you scroll, and a link in it lands on the heading you chose instead of hiding it behind the page header.
