About Me
Hi, I’m Crystal! I just completed the UX Design certification through Springboard, with the goal of moving into a UX position. While my core skills are in design thinking and visual creation through a BFA in graphic design, I am really excellent at adapting, learning, and working with people. I have a Master’s in art education, and I’m super excited to use the skills I acquired as a high school teacher, like patience, empathy, organization, flexibility, adaptability, research, design, presentation, and a focus on accessibility. I recently completed work on two freelance UX projects: Caregiven is a mobile app designed to support people caring for loved ones at end of life. Last summer I assisted with accessibility and UI design changes, helping improve access for 27% of their users. Gardenstead is a pre-seed startup that asked my UX team to identify a possible path forward to monetization for the company. We provided more than the requested handoff articles in our five weeks of work and were able to see changes implemented immediately in their products. I’m looking for my next challenge and excited to make a difference.
