About Me

American in Denmark looking for help in forging a career path utilizing her background in qualitative research approaches. Interdisciplinarian by academic and professional trade and curious “people watcher” and insights specialist who transformed constantly pestering my parents with the question “why?” into a lifelong, occupational pursuit. At Bryn Mawr College, I incorporated a tentative psychology background into an interdisciplinary BA in Growth and Structure of Cities, where I discovered an inescapable intersection between design, built form, and human activity/user experience. With an interest in developing people-first design solutions, I later honed my qualitative and quantitative research toolkit through work with Gehl Architects in Copenhagen Denmark. At Roskilde University (Denmark), I continued studying people-in-context, expanding my focus from the urban environment to everyday practices conducted at home, in public, and everywhere in between with my MSc in Spatial Designs & Society. Building on a basis of targeted research and analysis, I have expanded my focus again and moved toward design anthropology to observe people and practices in various settings, digital and material. With an eye for analysis and a little bit of magic, my research approach helps to transform static data into dynamic insights and opportunity spaces that resonate with clients and users alike, most recently as a Research Consultant at the strategic insights agency, IS IT A BIRD.
