Product Designer
Product Designers own the end-to-end design of a digital product experience — understanding the problem, exploring solutions, and shipping a usable, well-crafted interface — usually working closely with product managers and engineers.
End-to-end ownership of a product experience — from problem framing through shipped UI — within a single product or product area, in partnership with product management and engineering.
Also called: Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Digital Product Designer, App Designer
What this role is not
Not a role focused primarily on visual brand identity (see Visual Designer) or on deep, dedicated research (see UX Researcher) — Product Designers do some of both, but as a means to a shipped interface, not as their main output.

Common previous roles
UI Designers who build up problem framing, user flows, and research skills alongside their visual craft naturally grow into owning full product problems, not just interfaces.
